Saudi Arabia has announced that it will send its first female astronaut into space this year.
A woman named Rayyanah Barnawi and a man named Ali Al-Qarni are the two people that the country will send to the International Space Station in the second quarter of 2023.

The two astronauts Barnawi and Al-Qarni will be among the crew of the AX-2 spacecraft that will be launched.
